MD Ramaswami, known as "MD" to friends, is an accomplished alumnus of IIT Madras, Michigan State University, and Stanford University. He began his career at Infosys, swiftly progressing through technical roles at PSI Bull, and rising to senior management at Verifone, Aditi, and Talisma. As the first Managing Director of Dell International Services in India, MD spearheaded the establishment and growth of the center, scaling it to thousands of employees and positioning it as a strategic global hub for technology and customer operations.
In 2002, MD embraced entrepreneurship and founded Celtycs, a pioneering customer interaction analytics firm that was later acquired by the French group Activeo. Building on this success, he further explored ventures in travel technology and voice-enabled location services, continually pushing the envelope and driving innovation across diverse industries.
Today, as a trusted advisor and investor, MD leverages his vast and varied experience to guide and support the next generation of founders, equipping them with the insights, expertise, and strategic direction needed to build transformative and impactful businesses.
Outside of his professional pursuits, MD is a dedicated fitness enthusiast, regularly running marathons and climbing in the Himalayas. He has also volunteered with the forest department for tiger censuses and conservation activities and is an avid wildlife photographer. Amid the COVID pandemic, he hosted a live webinar series featuring interviews with top CEOs, academicians, and industry professionals, delivering valuable insights and perspectives to an engaged, homebound audience.
